6.3 ALARM MESSAGES AND ERROR CODES

LifeCare PCA

identified first will be activated and the second alarm identified will be activated after
the first alarm has been resolved.

Under most alarm conditions, the infuser ceases normal operation, generates an audible
alarm, and displays an alarm message or error code on the LCD screen.

There are two types of alarm conditions:

- alarm codes that can be cleared by the operator

- error codes that require qualified service personnel

OPERATIONAL

ALARM

MESSAGES

lists infuser alarm codes that can be cleared by the operator taking appropriate

corrective action. Also listed in

are the alarm messages, descriptions, possible

causes, corrective actions, and Audio Pause durations.

Note:

Operational alarm messages are displayed on the LCD screen. All alarms

are recorded in the infuser's Event History Log. Malfunction alarms are also
recorded in infuser's Malfunction Log. The LCD screen will show

for the duration of the audio pause duration, if the Audio Pause

button is pressed.
