Form Jam Recovery

Push the platen open lever backward like in the figure below to set it in the
all release status. Open the tractor covers and remove the jammed form.

The platen lever is set in the release status by pushing it in the direction of
the arrow

in the figure below. While pushing the lever rightward, push it

backward as shown

; the lever is set in the all release status.

Note: Do not set the platen open lever in the all release status unless you

are removing a jammed form.

Check the form for the following items:

Is the specified form being used?

Use specified forms only. Otherwise, form jam might result. (See
Appendix A, “Forms Design.”)

Is the form torn?

Torn forms might cause form jam.

Is the form humid?

If forms stored in a humid place are used, they might cause form jam.

If any problems occur with the form, replace it with a new one.
