C.4.4 Difference Between Line Pitch and Actual Line Pitch Distance
When changing the line pitch of a level E printer, notice must be taken of the differ-
ence between line pitch and actual line pitch distance.
The line feed distance of the level E printer is determined by the line pitches of the
current and next lines. Therefore, the line pitch and line feed distance of the
current lines are not always the same.
Example: Suppose the following data is received:
ESC %9 0014 (line pitch = 20/120 inch)
Print data 1, CR, LF
ESC %9 00 28 (line pitch = 40/120 inch)
Print data 2, CR, LF
Then, the print results are as follows:
