IBM 5400-006 Features

Various styles can be chosen for alphanumeric characters.

Various paper sizes can be chosen by the user.

Bar codes can be printed (if connected to a PC, only in 5577 mode).

When connected to an AS/400, the following feature is available:

– Headings and highlighted characters can be printed with a magnified size.

When connected to a PC, the following features are available:

– Continuous form emulation of the IBM 5577 printer, used as a 5577 printer.

– Continuous form emulation of the EPSON ESC/P printer, used as an

ESC/P printer. In the Windows environment, specify the EPSON
LQ-1070C printer using the Windows printer driver.

Note

If you are using Windows NT, power off the printer and power on again
after you cancel printing from the PC.

If you are using Windows 3.1, power off the printer and power on again
if a time out occurs for any reason.

Of you are using the printer in a LAN environment, set the printer time
out to the highest value.
