Parallel Port Basic Functions

 

 

4.4.2 Line Spacing (No. of lines per inch: lpi)

The IBM 5400-006 Printer has the following line spacing options.

Ÿ

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.5, 8 lpi by the operator panel.

 4.4.3 Printing Speed

The maximum printing speeds at 6 lines per inch are 360 lines per minute in the
NLQ mode (normal speed), 500 lines per minute in the DP mode (high speed).

The actual printing speed is determined by the:

Number of user defined characters contained in one line

Style of printing (horizontal or vertical writing)

Number of double byte characters per line
