2.14 Relocating the IBM 5400-006 Printer
To relocate the IBM 5400-006 printer, do the following:
Note: For details, refer to Chapter 1.

Turn the power switch off.

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet.

Disconnect the interface cable.

Unlock all wheels.

If you are relocating the printer within the office, move it to the desired
location at this time.
If you are relocating it out of the office, do the following:

Remove the print form. (See 2.6.1, “Unloading the Printing Form” on
page 2-18.)

Fix the curl corrector and the rear fence with tape inside the rear door.

If you are transporting the printer over a long distance, do the following:
Fix the ribbon cassette cover with drafting tape.
Push the for thickness adjustment lever backward and fix it with drafting
tape.
After closing the platen open lever, fix it with drafting tape.
Fix the tractors with drafting tape.
After completing the above, pack the printer. For details on packing the
printer, consult your IBM marketing representative.
You have finished preparing the printer for relocation.
To install the printer after relocation, see Chapter 1, “Installation”
