¾
The brake system must be thoroughly
checked at regular intervals!
¾
Before starting work in the brake system park
the machine safely and secure it against acci-
dental lowering and rolling away (wheel chocks).
¾
Be extremely careful when performing weld-
ing, torch cutting and drilling work near brake
lines!
¾
After setup and repair work on the brake sys-
tem you must generally carry out a brake test!
1.6.9 Tyres
¾
When working on the tyres make sure that the
machine has been parked safely and properly
secured against rolling away and accidental
lowering (parking brake, wheel chocks).
¾
The assembly of wheels and tyres requires
profound knowledge and the use of proper
assembly tools!
¾
Repair work on tyres and wheels must only be
carried out by specialists and only with the ap-
propriate assembly tools for this kind of work!
¾
Check the air pressure regularly! Pay attention
to the specified air pressure!
¾
Check the wheel nuts regularly and retighten
all fastening screws and nuts as specified by
HORSCH LEEB AS GmbH! Failing to do so
can lead to loosing wheels and thus to the
machine tipping over.
1.6.10 Self-propelled working
machine
WARNING
No passengers are allowed to ride on the
machine!
¾
When driving on public roads you must use
the hazard lights or the flashing beacon in
accordance with the country-specific traffic
regulations.
¾
Switch on the lighting system to enhance the
detectability of the vehicle.
¾
Always make sure that the machine is safe to
drive and operate before starting work.
¾
When entering or leaving the machine hold
on to the rail and the door handle.
¾
Climbing on the mudguard areas is not permit-
ted after the railing has been removed.
¾
Persons are not allowed to ride on the platform.
¾
For road travel the folding boom must be
folded, lowered into the receptacles and ap-
propriately secured or locked.
¾
Drive the machine only with the speed allowed
in your country.
¾
For road travel the working implements must
be in transport position and properly locked,
as prescribed by the manufacturer.
¾
Always route exhaust gases to the outside
and ensure an adequate supply of fresh air
when running the engine in closed rooms.
¾
When using liquid starting aids avoid the
generation of sparks or naked flames in the
vicinity. Keep liquid starting aids away from
batteries and electric power lines.
¾
When cornering you must always consider
the width of the vehicle and also the fact that
the rear of the machine will swing out. Soil
conditions influence the travel characteristics.
¾
Be careful when it comes to hollows, trenches
and obstacles. These could cause the ma-
chine to tip over. This is particularly valid when
driving on slopes.
1.6.11 Automatic steering
(optional)
¾
Automatic steering must only be used for the
purpose it is intended for. It must only be used
in the field, away from public or semi-public
roads, away from yard areas as well as far
