6. Engine operation
6.1 Before starting the
engine
WARNING
¾
Always make sure that there are no per-
sons in the working range of the machine.
Blow the horn, if necessary.
¾
Never run the engine inside closed rooms
without fume extraction system.
¾
Ensure sufficient ventilation.
6.1.1 Prerequisite for starting the
engine
Main switch for electric power supply
The main switch for the electric power supply is
located behind the left side covering.

Switch on the main switch for the electric
power supply
6.1.2 Switching on the ignition
The ignition switch has four positions:

6.2 Starting the engine
NOTE
Start the engine only from the driver's seat.
The engine can be started in two different ways.
Option 1 - Ignition key
¾
Turn the ignition key to position (1) and hold
it until the engine starts.
¾
Release the key as soon as the engine is
running. Never hold the key longer than 20
seconds in starting position (1).
NOTE
When the ignition key is returned to position (2)
before the engine starts, wait with the next start-
ing attempt, until the engine has come to a halt.
In this case turn the ignition key first to position
(3) and then repeat the attempt.
