The ESC:
• Operates automatically in very
unstable conditions.
It does not operate under normal
driving conditions.
•
(B) flashes while the ESC is
operating.
• If the lamp remains on, a
malfunction has occurred.
Contact a Holden Dealer.
Switching ESC on and off
In certain circumstances, it may be
helpful to turn the ESC
off, e.g. in
deep mud or sand or if the vehicle is
bogged. It may be possible to
get more traction from a slightly
spinning wheel.
To turn the ESC off:
• Press .
(A) illuminates.
Hydraulic Brake Assist
system (BA)
BA recognises how rapidly the
accelerator is released and the
brake pedal is applied.
BA initiates ABS earlier, shortening
the stopping distance required.
Electronic Brakeforce
Distribution (EBD)
EBD senses the vehicle load (both
passengers and luggage) and
optimises rear braking force.
EBD works in combination with ABS
to prevent excessive braking and
locking of the rear wheels. Braking
pressure is transferred between the
front and the rear axles.
