• Before leaving the vehicle,
apply the park brake and
ensure is illuminated on the
instrument cluster.
Applying the EPB
1. Lift the switch (P) on the
centre console. See Instrument
panel overview on page 53.

Note
The sound of the park brake
motor may be heard while
operating.
If the EPB is applied while the
vehicle is in motion:
• A chime sounds.
• The vehicle will decelerate as
long as the switch is held in the
up position.
• Releasing the EPB switch during
deceleration will release the park
brake.
• If the switch is held up until the
vehicle comes to a stop, the EPB
will remain applied.
If flashes continuously, either:
• The EPB is only partially applied.
• The EPB is released.
• There is a problem with the EPB:
1. Release the EPB. See EPB
release on page 166.
2. Apply it again.
If continues to flash:
1. Do not drive the vehicle.
2. Contact a Holden Dealer.
If
R
is illuminated, apply the EPB:
1. Lift up on the EPB switch.
2. Hold in the up position.
Full application of the EPB may
take longer than normal.
3. Continue to hold the switch until
illuminates.
If
R
illuminates, contact a
Holden Dealer.
If the EPB fails to apply:
1. Block the rear wheels to prevent
vehicle movement.
EPB release
To release the EPB:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Apply and hold the brake pedal.
If the brake pedal is not applied:
A chime will sound and
will
be displayed.
3. Press the EPB switch.

is illuminated, release the EPB:
1. Push down on the EPB switch.
2. Hold in the down position.
EPB release may take longer
than normal.
3. Continue to hold the switch until
extinguishes.
If remains illuminated, contact
a Holden Dealer.
