74 Instruments and controls

Average fuel consumption

/ 100 km

• Calculates the average fuel

consumption from the total fuel

used and the distance since the

last average fuel consumption

reset.

• To reset the average fuel

consumption to zero, press

MODE

for more than 2 seconds.

• Average fuel consumption is

reset to 10:0 if the battery is

disconnected.

Average fuel consumption may

differ from the actual average fuel

consumption depending on:
•  Driving conditions
•  Driving pattern
•  Vehicle speed

Compass

• Eight directions are displayed

(N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W or NW).

• The direction will be displayed

when the ignition control knob is

turned to the on position.

Compass calibration

Calibrate the compass the first time

it is used or when the battery has

been disconnected.
1. Press

MODE

and

SET

simultaneously for more than

2 seconds.

The compass display will flash.
2. Drive the vehicle slowly in

one complete circle within

90 seconds.

When calibration is complete the

compass display stops flashing.

3. If there is not enough space to

turn the vehicle in one complete

circle, follow the diagram for an

alternate method.

Note

• The vehicle can be turned in any

direction, left or right.

• If the compass display continues

to flash, drive the vehicle slowly

in a circle again until it stops

flashing.
