Parking
1. Apply the park brake.
Before leaving the vehicle,
ensure is illuminated on
the instrument cluster. See
Electric Park Brake (EPB) on
page 165.
2. Move the shift lever to position
P
.
3. Shut all windows.
4. Switch off all exterior lamps.
5. Turn the ignition control knob to
the off position.
6. Lock all doors.
Warning
To avoid the possibility of injury,
always apply the park brake
before exiting the vehicle.
Be careful where you park or
drive. As with any vehicle, do
not park or operate this vehicle
in areas where combustible
materials such as dry grass or
leaves can come in contact with
the hot exhaust system.
Never leave the engine running
in an area such as a closed
garage or underground car park.

: In park position, the wheels
are locked. The vehicle may be
started from the

position. Do
not select

until the vehicle has
stopped. Apply the park brake
