Removing the spare tyre

1.  Park on level surface.
  Point the wheels straight ahead
2.  Apply the park brake.
3.  Turn the ignition control knob to

the lock position.

4. Place the shift lever in

5. Open the tailgate.
6. To access the jack and tools lift

up the compartment handle and

fold the lid upward. See Vehicle

tools on page 219.

7. Remove the wing bolt (A)

from the jack by rotating it

anticlockwise.

8. Remove the straps holding the

tool bag.

Spare wheel access

9. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to

pry off the spare wheel carrier

mounting bolt cover marked

SPARE TIRE

on the rear trim of

the tailgate opening.
