4. CONTROL FUNCTIONS

Operation in “COOL” mode
1.
Condition for compressor ON.
If temperature which is detected inside the room ( Tr sensor) is higher than set temperature Ts increased by 1°C,
compressor starts. Therefore, the condition is the following: Tr > (Ts + 1)°C.

Condition for compressor OFF.
If temperature which is detected inside the room ( Tr sensor) is equal of lower than set temperature Ts decreased
by 1°C, compressor stops. Therefore, the condition is the following: Tr ≤ (Ts - 1)°C.

Antifrost protection on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger.
If temperature on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger, detected by TP1 sensor, is ≤ 1°C for 1 minute and compressor
has been continuously operating for more than 10 minutes, Control PCB on Indoor Unit commands the stop of
compressor and fan on Outdoor Unit, while Indoor Unit’s fan works at “Low” speed.
The intervention of antifrost protection ends when temperature on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger, detected by TP1
sensor, is ≥ 7°C and compressor has been stopped for more than 3 minutes. When the intervention of antifrost
protection ends, compressor and fan on Outdoor Unit will be restarted and Indoor Unit’s fan will rotate at set speed.
4.
Protection against too low temperature on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger.
If temperature on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger, detected by TP1 sensor, is ≤ -10°C for 3 minutes and compressor
has been working continuously for 3 minutes, Control PCB on Indoor Unit commands the stop of compressor,
of Outdoor Unit’s fan and of Indoor Unit’s fan. Automatic swinging function of air outlet flaps will be stopped.
The intervention of protection will end 6 minutes later. However, if intervention condition described above occurs
again within 6 minutes, Control PCB on Indoor Unit will command the stop of all devices, and the corresponding
indication of malfunction will be displayed.


refer to “Section 6: Diagnostic & Maintenance” of this Technical Manual.
5.
Protection against insufficient performance in Cooling mode.
If after 5 minutes of compressor’s operation, temperature on Indoor Unit’s heat exchanger, detected by TP1 sensor,
is > 25°C for 20 consecutive minutes, “Running” LED indicator on Indoor Unit will flash for 4 times/6seconds
or Error Code “E4” will be displayed.
