Craft Port (DCE Interface)
(Interface “D” in
The SCIP Front Panel Craft (or console) port is an RS-561-compatible 8-pin modular jack that
supports 9600bps asynchronous data. It provides terminal interface control of the unit by direct
connection to a local VT100-compatible ASCII terminal. Connection to the Craft port requires an
8-pin modular to 8-pin modular cable (GDC P/N 830-128-007 and GDC P/N 029H210-001 or
029H211-001). The table below describes the Craft port pinouts
Ethernet (LAN) Ports
(Interface “E” in
)
The SCIP Front Panel LAN ports support 10/100BASE-T Ethernet connectivity. This port requires
an 8-pin modular to 8-pin modular straight-thru or crossover cable (GDC S-078H010-XXX or S-
078H011-XXX). The table below describes Ethernet port pinouts.
Note
Auto-MDIX is not supported . A crossover cable must be used at the LAN ports unless connecting to a SC-ES
or other switch device that supports Auto-MDIX.
