LAN-X Link Integrity Check
When network problems are suspected but have not surfaced in other statistics, the LAN-X Link
Integrity Check can collect statistics between two SCIPs that will verify the integrity of the T1 link.
This diagnostic is independent if IP and does not use ICMP (ping). Rather, eight different-sized test
packets are sent to the remote SCIP which loops them back to the sender.
For Example:
Type
diags lanx
[number] to send the selected number of times eight test packets will be
sent to the remote SCIP over the link. Enter
0
for continuous transmission. The diagnostic runs
until all passes are sent or until the user presses the
Ctrl+C
keys. The console port shows a
summary of results for each of the eight packet sizes. The figure below shows a test result with two
passes of test packets.

Note
Be aware that entering a zero (0) will send packets continuously. This use of traffic bandwidth can affect
throughput.
