Telnet/SSH Menu Cut-thru
This procedure allows authorized users password-protected menu access to enabled terminal server
ports and the SCIP’s command line interface.
1. Ensure that the SCIP has been configured for remote port management via the Telnet/SSH
Menu as described in
.
2. Start a Telnet/SSH session by defining the appropriate connection parameters:
telnet
[SCIP IP address]
or
ssh
[SCIP IP address]
3. Login to the SCIP with supervisor or admin privileges. A successful Telnet/SSH connection to
the SCIP will display the Telnet/SSH menu, as shown in the example below..

4. The Telnet/SSH menu can have up to eight enabled terminal server ports.

to access any enabled Terminal Server port.

to access the SCIP’s command line interface.
5. When finished, disconnect the session or exit the Telnet/SSH client.
6. To manage another terminal server device, start a new Telnet/SSH session.
