OVERVIEW
The CyberCat panel is equipped with a 3,200 event history buffer that allows you to review system events as
they occur. Within this same history buffer there is a dedicated ALARM and SUPERVISORY event history
capable of storing up to 1,600 and 800 events respectively. The buffer is continuously cycling which means
the first record/event in, will be first out when the number of events exceeds 3,200. The only exception to this
rotating buffer is when an ALARM event occurs, since the first alarm event is critical for identification of fire
initiation. The configuration can be changed to limit of history events that the panel will record after an
alarm event and before the next reset. ON = Allows the Alarm history events to be limited to 999 after the 1
st
alarm (to save the first alarms). Once an Alarm is recorded and the limit is reached the events are not
recorded unit the panel is reset. OFF = Allows the Alarm history events to be limited to 3200 after the 1
st
alarm (to save the first alarms). Once the 3200
th
event is recorded, all succeeding events are re-recorded into
the 3200
th
history position. The history buffer is battery backed by a lithium coin cell battery. If power is
removed from the system, the history buffer will be saved.
Refer to Fike document 06-639, “Event/History Messages” for a complete listing of system event messages
and suggested corrective actions.
