Driven Clutch Replacement
Inspect the shaft for signs of wear and
inspect the bushings for signs of deteri-
oration. If there is wear to the point of causing vibration, the driv-
en clutch must be replaced.

Torque wrench, 1/2" drive, ft. lbs. ................................ 1
Socket, 1/2", 1/2" drive................................................ 1
External snap ring pliers ............................................. 1
Anti-seize compound ............................................... AR
Thread locking adhesive .......................................... AR
Remove the bolt (item 1) and remove the CVT cover
(item 2). Remove the drive belt (item 3) (Ref Removing
the Drive Belt section on page E-4). Remove the driven
clutch bolt (item 8) using 1/2" socket, lock washer (item
9) and the retaining washer (item 10) (Ref Fig. 2 on page
E-3). Slide the driven clutch (item 11) from the rear axle
input shaft.
Installation of the driven clutch is the reverse of disas-
sembly. Coat the rear axle input shaft with a light coating
of anti-seize compound and slide the clutch onto the
shaft.
Apply thread locking adhesive to the threads of the clutch
bolt (item 8) before installing (Ref Fig. 2 on page E-3).
Tighten the hardware per torque specification table given
below.
