5 Reassembling the combustion unit
1. Insert the combustion pipe into the tube furnace.
2. Place the combustion pipe insert with filler (approx. 25 g high-temperature catalyst) into the
combustion pipe.
3. Check and clean the support ring and sealing ring for the furnace cover and insert the sealing ring and
the support ring.
4. Fit the cleaned furnace cover and the thread adapter nut on the furnace entry and tighten the thread
adapter nut.
5. Mount the dosing head and tighten the red screw plug.
6. If you are not using the optional heatable salt trap, fit the furnace outlet with a glass fiber fabric as the
salt trap. Roll two fabrics together loosely and put the fabrics loosely into the furnace outlet. Approx.
10 mm (0.4") must remain free at the top end to catch the salt.
7. If you are using the optional heatable salt trap, keep the furnace outlet empty.
8. Insert the cleaned furnace outlet and a clean O-ring into the combustion pipe and tighten the knurled
head screw hand-tight.
9. If you are not using the optional heatable salt trap, connect the hose of the furnace outlet to the
bulkhead gland on the mounting plate.
6 If you are using the optional heatable salt trap:
1. Turn the salt trap gently to push it onto the furnace outlet nozzle.
2. Make sure that the seal seals the glass nozzle with a slight suction effect. You can adjust the seal with
the clamp screw. The seal should not be too tight however.
3. Push the salt trap under the furnace.
4. Fold down the retaining bar and rest the filter on the bar.
5. Plug in the electrical contact and lock it.
6. Fit the hose on the heatable salt trap and screw it down.
Press the [E] key.
7 1. Once you have replaced the entire
furnace: Connect the hose to the
mounting plate or to the heated salt
trap (optional). Connect the electrical
plug-in connections between the
furnace and the analyzer.
2. Move the furnace into position and
secure it.
3. Press the [E] key.
