Removing the Argon Inlet Manifold with RG1 and RG2 Attached

Figure 5-16 - Positioning of RG1 and RG2 within gas control box

Remove covers as outlined in section 5.5.1, page 47 to reach gas box assembly.

Loosen the two screws securing the inlet manifold on the frame (showing in the

picture above).

Disconnect the argon inlet solenoid and argon pressure switch cables from the

sample introduction PWB.

Remove the Swagelok fittings at the outlets (left) of the two regulators (RG1 and
RG2).

Carefully remove the two regulators and inlet manifold out of the gas box

assembly.

NOTE

Clearly mark each cable/tube before removing for easy identification. To replace the

assembly, use the same procedures in reverse.
