1.
Remove corner mirror from pillars on extraction lens#3. Remove the two plastic
tubes on the pillars and the small plastic insulator from extraction lens#3. Leave
corner mirror attached to supply wire.
2.
Take off the 3rd extraction lens by removing the pair of screws/nuts
3.
Remove ion mirror ring by removing the 2 screws
4.
Remove each pair of screws / nuts from each segment of corner mirror. Note the
orientation of the flat plates and the right angled plates, the flat plates face the
turbo pump.
The corner lens is attached to extraction lens #3. It is a press-fit onto an insulator
made from PEEK. The corner lens does not typically require cleaning. During routine
cleaning simply remove the corner lens from extraction lens #3 and leave it connected
to the wire. Remove the plastic tubing from the pins and the PEEK insulator when
cleaning extraction lens#3.
1.
Remove the ion optics mirror assembly from the interface.
2.
Loosen the flat blade screw and remove the supply wire. Gently but firmly pull
the corner lens from the extraction lens. A small flat blade screw driver may be
useful as leverage to pry the lenses apart. Remove the screw if cleaning of the
corning lens is required.

2.
Insert the extraction lens tool into extraction lens #1.
3.
Rotate the lens in either direction until the tabs line up with the recesses in the
holder and remove the lens.
