3.7.3 Manual Brake Release
If a worker is trapped in the robot arm, he must be rescued to avoid further injury.
After the robot brake is released, the robot can be moved. Lifting equipment or similar equipment is
required to ensure that the robot is lifted without causing secondary damage due to gravity. Before releasing
the brake, make sure you have prepared suitable equipment.
The motor brakes of each axis of the robot body should be manually released when the power is on.
When the power switch of the control cabinet is "ON", even if the robot control system is in an emergency
or abnormal state, the brake unit still has power.
Attention
If there is no power to the robot control cabinet, the brake release button on the control
cabinet cannot be started.
Releasing the robot motor holding brake may cause personal injury and property
damage. Do this only when it is urgent and necessary, and it requires special care.
The following table is the operation flow of brake release, which describes in detail how to release the
brake when the robot is equipped with the robot body motor brake release unit.

Attention
The brake release button of the control cabinet controls the release of the brakes of all
axes. When it is pressed, the motor brakes of axis 1 to 6 are all opened.

Danger
When the robot motor brake is released, the robot axis may move very fast, and
sometimes it is unpredictable how it will move! Therefore, reconsider before releasing the
motor holding brake:

How will the robotic arm move?

What is the impact on the robot workspace?
③
It must be ensured that no one is near or below the robot arm.
④
If necessary, use cranes, forklifts, or similar equipment to protect the robot arms.
