Using iDRAC6 With Microsoft 
Active Directory

A directory service maintains a common database of all information needed for 
controlling users, computers, printers, etc. on a network. If your company already 
uses the Microsoft

®

 Active Directory

®

 service software, you can configure the 

software to provide access to iDRAC6, allowing you to add and control iDRAC6 
user privileges to your existing users in your Active Directory software.

 

NOTE: 

Using Active Directory to recognize iDRAC6 users is supported on the 

Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows Server

®

 2003, and Windows Server 2008 

operating systems.

Table 6-1 shows the iDRAC6 Active Directory user privileges.
