CSMIM/Micro-CS Management Application Guide

Display any window that includes the 

Setup

 field.

The 

General

 window displays first.

Move the pointer to the 

Setup

 field and select any available option.

Understanding Setup Window Fields

When you select an option from the 

Setup

 field, Annex Manager displays 

another window that allows you to change Annex settings. Once you enter 
or select new values and press 

, Annex Manager changes settings 

on the Annexes you selected.

Your selections in a Setup mode window may not allow you to use certain 
fields. Fields that are unavailable appear in grey text: you cannot place the 
cursor in these fields or change their settings. For example, if the

window’s 

Modem

 button is not selected, you cannot use the 

Modem Name

 field, 

 or the 

Edit Modem

 window.

When a Setup window first appears, each field automatically displays a 
value based on the Annexes or ports you selected. If the Annexes or ports 
you selected:

Have the same settings for a field, the current value appears 
automatically. For example, if you choose several ports that 
use the same type of modem, modem’s name appears in the 

Name

 field.

❑

Do not have values set for a text field, that field displays “ “.

❑

Have different settings, a field does not display a value:

❑

Text fields and option menus appear blank.

❑

Radio buttons appear with no buttons selected.

If you select multiple Annexes or ports and you 
want to view or change values for a single 
Annex or port, you can return to the main 

window or the 

Edit

 

Async Ports

 window to select a single 

Annex or port.
