Troubleshooting and Maintenance Guide

1

Introduction

Cleaning/Recycling the Product

To clean the unit, disconnect the power and wipe down with a
damp, lint-free cloth. For recycling, contact your local Agilent
sales office.

Liquid Spillage

Do not spill liquids on the instrument.

Moving or Storing the GC/MSD

The best way to keep your GC/MSD functioning properly is to
keep it pumped down and hot, with carrier gas flow. If you plan
to move or store your instrument, a few additional precautions
are required. The instrument must remain upright at all times;
this requires special caution when moving. The MSD should not
be left vented to atmosphere for long periods.
