System configuration: Control key levels
Menu Path:
Setup\System Configuration|Control key levels
The System Configuration menu is used to set the common functions of the panel. The
Control key levels menu sets the access levels for the following functions. Level-1 allows
open access, Level-2 requires either a password or the panel controls-keyswitch to be in the
enabled position, before the control key will operate.
Sound alarms
Define the required access level (1-open access, or 2-
restricted access) for the [SOUND ALARMS] control key.
Silence alarms
Define the required access level (1-open access, or 2-
restricted access) for the [SILENCE ALARMS] control
key.
Accept
Define the required access level (1-open access, or 2-
restricted access) for the [ACCEPT/SILENCE BUZZER]
control key.

System configuration: Peripheral Comms
Menu Path:
Setup\System Configuration|Peripheral comms
The System Configuration menu is used to set the common functions of the panel. This
menu allows for the setup of the communications parameters for networked panels, and for
the SCB-bus connected to remote display units and remote control units.
Comms
Defines the port number, the communications protocol,
the baud rate, parameters number of bits, parity, and
stop bits.
RDU/SCBR online
Specifies the quantity of RDU's (remote display units)
and RCU's (remote control units) connected to the panel
via the SCB-bus. Maximum is 64.
Peer options
In a network of panels, each panel must mark as
[ONLINE] the address numbers of all the other panels
that it must communicate with. Its own address must be
marked as [OFFLINE] to itself. In addition, each panel
defines which type of information and control functions
must be sent to each of the other panels in the network.
Peer define
Defines the properties of each other panel in a network.
Define the number of loops, number of zones, and
number of communication ports.
