Loading Thermal Transfer Ribbon
The QLS-8100 Xe is capable of printing using S
pot Color
or
Process Color
thermal transfer ribbons.
When using
Spot Color
ribbons, each of the four stations prints a fully
saturated color. Any color can be installed on any print station and the
location of each color is defined in Color QuickLabel 99 Pro software or the
QuickLabel Systems Windows Printer Driver.
When using
Process Color
ribbons, each of the print stations prints a dot
pattern of a primary color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, or Black). These primary
colors overlap each other on the label to produce a wide range of colors.
Process Color
ribbon must be installed on specific print stations as defined
below. CMYK printing is commonly used while some specific applications
may call for KCMY printing where the black ribbon is printed last.
