Adjusting Draft Control Rod
<Adjustment at Scale "1">
1. Before draft control rod adjustment, adjust the position control
feedback rod.
2. Set the test bar (6) to the top link bracket holder (4).
3. Set the about 50 kg (500 N, 110 lbs) to the lower links
connecting bar.
4. Set the draft control lever (1) to the scale
"1"
on the draft control
lever guide.
5. Start the engine and warm up the transmission temperature at
the condition as shown below.
6. Set the engine at the maximum speeds.
7. Pull the test bar (6) upward and adjust the draft control rod (7)
so that the lower link is raised when the top link bracket holder
(4) and the top link bracket holder (4) come in contact. (Confirm
that the lower link is lowered when the test bar (6) is released or
pushed downward.)
<Adjustment at "FLOATING" Position>
1. Before draft control rod adjustment, adjust the position control
feedback rod.
2. Set the test bar (6) to the top link bracket holder (4).
3. Set the about 50 kg (500 N, 110 lbs) to the lower links
connecting bar.
4. Set the draft control lever (1) to the scale
"0"
on the draft control
lever guide.
5. Start the engine and warm up the transmission temperature at
the condition as shown below.
6. Set the engine at the maximum speeds.
7. Pull the test bar (6) upward and adjust the draft control rod (7)
so that the lower link is not raised when the top link bracket
holder (4) come in contact.
<Adjustment at Scale "5" ("SENSITIVE" Position)>
1. Before draft control rod adjustment, adjust the position control
feedback rod.
2. Set the test bar (6) to the top link bracket holder (4).
3. Set the about 50 kg (500 N, 110 lbs) to the lower links
connecting bar.
4. Set the draft control lever (1) to the scale
"5"
on the draft control
lever guide.
5. Start the engine and warm up the transmission temperature at
the condition as shown below.
6. Set the engine at the maximum speeds.
7. Pull the test bar (6) upward and adjust the draft control rod (7)
so that the lower link is raised before the top link bracket (4) and
the top link bracket holder (4) come in contact.
