Commissioning (Configuration)
After installation of the system components, the system has to be configured. The system
is configured with the transducers not yet connected.
Carry out commissioning (configuration)
Preconditions:
The system components are installed
All connections except the transducer connections have been made.
Proceed as follows to carry out commissioning:
1. Switch on the
Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200
2. Configure the transducer channels
3. Configure the network settings for the
Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200
4. If installed, configure the network settings for the printer
5. Configure the existing interfaces
6. Set the draft of the ship
7. Set the date and time
8. Check the alarm settings and modify, if necessary
9. Test the depth alarm
9.1.
Check whether the test alarm is displayed via the interfaces according to the
interface configuration.
10. Switch off the
Navigation Echo Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200
NOTICE
Damage to the transducers possible
When the device is switched on and the transducers are configured, the device contin-
uously transmits signals. Transmitting of signals with the wrong transducer configura-
tion can result in damage to the transducers and the device.
When configuring the transducer channels, ensure that the correct transducer model
is selected.
Only use the device with the correct transducer configuration.
WARNING!
Unauthorised changes can result in very serious injury or even death.
Unauthorised modification of the configuration parameters can endanger the safety of
the ship and result in very serious injury or even death.
Changes to the configuration parameters may only be made by qualified personnel.
Do not change the configuration parameters after commissioning unless changes
have been made to the system (e.g. changing of the transducer model).
