Operation

6.1

Section Safety Messages

Section-specific safety precautions warn of specific dangers which can occur during all 
activities described in the following chapter or section. The safety precautions relate to 
all the following contents and are given once at the beginning of the chapter or section in 
order to avoid repetition.

CAUTION!

Possible danger from acoustic energy

In transmission mode, acoustic energy is transmitted through the water. This can repre-
sent a hazard for divers and marine species.

Do not activate the system in the immediate vicinity of divers or swimmers.

Do not use the system to disturb or scare away marine species.

NOTICE

Damage to the transducers possible!

The output of a transmission signal against air can result in damage to the connected 
transducers.

The system may only be activated when the transducers are completely immersed 
in water.

NOTICE

Damage to the transducers possible!

As soon as the device is switched on, it transmits signals continuously. Transmitting of 
signals with the wrong transducer configuration can result in damage to the transducers 
and the device.

Connect the transducers to the system only after configuration.

Carry out changes to the transducer configuration only with the transducers discon-
nected from the system.

Observe the fundamental safety-relevant information in chapter "Safety" (

2)!

Operator errors possible!

The system may only be operated by trained and qualified personnel.
