ELAC LAZ 5200 – Operating Instructions
Installation
5.1.
Remove the outer sheath, cable shield and inner sheath of the connection ca-
ble from the cores as far as needed to ensure the length of the exposed cores
is sufficient for connection.
5.2.
Remove the insulation from the core ends as far as needed to ensure safe
electrical contact with the terminals.
6. Thread the connection cable through the cable gland into the
Navigation Echo
Sounder ELAC LAZ 5200

The outer sheath of the connection cable must be in contact with the spring con-
tacts of the cable gland.
–
The outer sheath of the connection cable must be surrounded by the rubber seal
of the cable gland.
7. Tighten the threaded bush of the cable gland.
7.1.
Use the (optional) installation tools supplied, if necessary.
7.2.
Pay attention that the connection cable does not slip in the cable gland.
8. Connect the conductors of the connection cable to the terminals
according to the
4.3.3.1 and the cable connection list (
8.1.
Use the corresponding push-button to open the clamping point.
9. Attach the cable sign supplied to the connection cable according to the cable gland.
10. Install the service panel:
10.1. Position the service panel at the installation location in such a way that the
connection of the earthing conductor on the service panel can be reached.
10.2. Connect the earthing conductor.
10.3. Position the service panel at the installation location.
10.4. Screw in and tighten the mounting bolts (6 pcs.) of the service panel.
