Choose AVI File

You may only run files with the

avi

extension using the AurorAcorD Floppy Player. Select a file using the

Choose AVI File button or File > Open. The camera number is indicated in the filename as cameraxx.avi,
where “xx” is a camera number 1 – 16. After selecting the file, use the Play AVI File button to run the file.

Play AVI File

Use the Play AVI File button to run a file selected with the Choose AVI File button or File > Open. You must
also press Play AVI File to resume play after the Stop AVI File button has been pressed.

Forward/Backward

You may play the video in chronological or reverse order using the Forward or Backward selections. These
choices are only available when the video is stopped.

Playback Speed

Use the slide bar to change the playback speed. The speed is set to Normal by default. You cannot change
the speed unless the video is stopped. Use the Default Speed button to quickly return the speed to Normal.

Default Speed

The Playback Speed slide bar may be set to various speeds. Use the Default Speed button to quickly return
the speed to the default setting of Normal. You cannot change the speed back to the default unless video is
stopped.

Stop AVI File

Use the Stop AVI File button to halt video playing onscreen.

Volume

This feature is unavailable for Vicon AVI files recorded from the AurorAcorD.

Codec Driver

To view video archived to a floppy disk, you may use the Floppy Player included on the AurorAcorD CD or
you may use Windows Media Player

. To use Media Player (version 6.4 and newer), first install the codec

driver by selecting it from the AurorAcorD CD. Note that if you have previously installed Floppy Player or CD
Player from the AurorAcorD CD, then the codec driver is already installed and you can skip this step. The
filename for the archive will be CameraXX.avi, where XX is the camera number 1-16.
