Erasing the CD-RW or Hard Disk
Perform the following procedure to erase data from the CD-RW or hard disk.
Note: During the erasure process, recording to the hard drive will stop. It will resume after the data is erased.
Recording to the CD does not stop the recording process.
1. Access the Disk Functions menu shown below.

2. Select Hard Disk Functions or CD-RW Functions.
3. For the hard disk, you must define the action to take place when the disk is full, using the Disk End Action
field. The Recycle setting will begin overwriting the existing data when the hard disk reaches its storage
capacity. The Stop setting will cease all recording. If you choose Stop, you will be notified by a warning
message when there is only 5 GB left on the hard disk. When the disk is full, Record and Alarm LEDs will
flash and the buzzer (if enabled) will sound. If you choose Recycle, the message “Hard Drive Full –
Overwriting Previous Data” will display. The message “Hard Drive Full – Recording Stopped” will display
if the Stop setting was chosen.
4. Select Erase Disk.
Running a Schedule Manually
Schedules will run automatically at the time and date set in the Schedule Setup screen. Up to eight schedules
are available. After defining a schedule, you can choose to run it at any time (not just at the scheduled time),
by performing the procedure below.
