Motion “Museum” Search
Using the Playback Control screen’s Playback Search submenus, the AurorAcorD allows you to search
through video recorded to the hard disk or archived to the CD-RW by three methods:
•
by a user-defined time and date
•
alarm
video
•
motion detected in specified zones on a specified camera.
Use the following procedure to perform motion “museum” search through recorded video.
Note: You may find it convenient to use the spot monitor to view the results of a museum search while
maintaining other operations on the main display monitor.
1. Access the Playback Search screen as shown in the following menu path.

2. To search by time and date, access the Time + Date Search screen. Enter the time that the video you
wish to review was recorded or archived.
3. Select the Date field and set the appropriate date. The date will be in the format selected in the
Time/Date Setup screen (American, European, Asian).
4. Select Start Search.
5. To search through video recorded during an alarm state, return to the Playback Search menu and select
Alarm Search.
6. From the Alarm Search screen, use the up/down arrow keys to select an alarm (only one alarm is shown
in the menu path above). Then use the right arrow key to play the video recorded during the selected
alarm.
7. Return to the Playback Search screen and use the menu path shown here to access the Playback Motion
Search screen.
