Playback
The playback function of the AurorAcorD allows you to review recorded video. You may search through
recorded video by time and date, alarms and by detected motion using the motion “museum” search feature
discussed below.
Selecting Playback Source and Audio Parameters
Use the following procedure to select the playback source and define the audio parameters.
1. Access the Playback Control screen as shown in the menu path below.

2. Select Hard Disk, Floppy or CD-RW from the Select Source field to indicate the source of the recorded
video. If you select Floppy or CD-RW, you must have already archived video to those devices (refer to
the Operation chapter for more information on archiving. You can only record directly to the hard drive.)
3. Access the Playback Audio setting and define the audio as Off or On.
4. If you set the Playback Audio to On, select the volume. The volume range is 1 to 10, where 10 represents
the loudest volume.
Note: Audio is not available from floppy disk.

Starting and Stopping Playback from the Menu System
Use the following procedure to start and stop playback of recorded video when in the menu system.
1. Access the Playback Control screen as shown in the menu path from the previous section.
2. Press Start Playback to exit the menu system and start playing back video from the source selected in
the previous procedure.
3. To stop playback, press the
LIVE
key or if in the menu system, select Stop Playback.
Note: The time and “Play” message do not update when in the menu system. Therefore if you use Stop
Playback, the “Play” message will still be onscreen.
