Floppy Player
Video images may viewed on a PC using the AurorAcorD Floppy Player or Windows Media Player. These
images must have been saved to a floppy disk using the Archive Floppy function. This function is discussed
in the Archiving section of this manual. The filename for the archive will be CameraXX.avi, where XX is the
camera number 1-16.
To use Windows Media Player instead of the AurorAcorD Floppy Player, install the codec driver as discussed
in the following section and in
Viewing Video Images from Floppy Disk
. You may use the Windows Media
Player help file for program-specific information.
The number of images saved on the floppy depends upon the Quality setting (discussed in the Recording
section of the Programming chapter). For a Quality setting of Normal, over 90 images may be saved to disk.
Note that audio is not recorded to floppy, but is available with data archived to CD (if enabled).
The File and Options Menus are shown below.
Select Open to select a video file with extension AVI.
Exit the AurorAcorD Floppy Player using this command.
Place a check mark beside Continuous Play to play the file repeatedly
until the Stop AVI File button is pressed. Remove the check mark to
play the file once.
