How do I change a password?
Use the Change FPanel Password and/or Change Menu/Setup Password settings as described in steps 2
and 3 of the
How do I set up passwords for the first time?
section.
How do I enter my password(s)?
If you have enabled password(s), you must enter the defined password(s) before you can use the front panel
keys (Front Panel password) or access menus (Menu/Setup password). Enter the passwords as requested
on the password entry screens and then press the
PLAY
button.
What if I forget my password(s)?
If you forget your Front Panel password but you know your Menu/Setup password, use your Menu/Setup
password to unlock the front panel. Then overwrite the front panel password with a new front panel password.
If you forget your Menu/Setup password or you have set only the Front Panel password, press the
HELP
key
while the AurorAcorD is in one of the following password entry screens: Enter Front Panel Password or Enter
Menu/Setup Password. The help system will display an encrypted version of your Menu/Setup password. Call
Vicon Technical Support at 1-800-34-VICON (1-800-348-4266) and give them the encrypted password so
that they can determine the password for you.
Setting the Time and Date Display
Setting the time and date for your AurorAcorD is critical for proper reporting of alarms and other functions.
How do I set the time and date?
Note: You may also set the time and date from the Easy Setup menus, as discussed in Quick Programming.
1. You must first define the display of the time and date to be Always On, Always Off or define a fade time.
The fade time defines the length of time that the time and date will display on the monitor. There are two
menus that must be accessed; one to define the display on both of the main display monitors and one for
the spot monitor. Use the menu paths below to define the display of the time and/or date on the monitors.
