Yes – Utility Card is healthy, No – Utility Card is not healthy and should be
replaced unless startup of the chassis is in progress or the card was purposely
put in this state for debugging

Backplane – normal operation for UC/M&C communication over chassis
backplane, Front Panel – debug operation where backplane UC/M&C
connection is turned off and serial console cable at the fron panel of the M&C
is in use
Pending COM
switch
Yes – backplane/front panel switch is pending due to user request,
No – backplane/front panel switch is not pending
Switch fails BP/FP
Statistics indicating backplane/front panel swith failures N/N’ where N is the
number failures to swsitch to backplane and N’ is the number of failures to
switch to front panel
UC fd
Internal OS file descriptor for the M&C/UC backplane serial port connection
Null Dev fd
When the serial port of the M&C is switched to the backplane from its front
panel on startup the OS I/O for the front panel serial port is switched to a
internal OS NULL device in order to avoid conflict with the backplane serial
port. This file descriptor allows the M&C to accomplish that.
Polling is
On – Normal operation M&C polls the UC, Off – Debug operation M&C does
not poll UC
Pending setup
Utility Card setup is pending or not pending – a setup involves setting several
commands over the backplane serial link from the M&C to the UC
AGC
Automatic Gain Control of the Utility Card is On or Off

UC center frequency in Hz
93 Mhz
On - 93 Mhz clock is being supplied to the CDCs, Off – 93 Mhz clock is not
being supplied to the CDCs

UC frequency offset in Hz
Internal 10 MHz
Off (default) – internal 10Mhz reference is not being generated and system is
accepting external 10Mhz reference clock, On – internal 10Mhz reference is
being generated and system is not accepting external 10Mhz reference clock
Die Timeout
UC will reset if status poll not received in N milliseconds
IF
On – IF is locked, Off – IF is not locked
Ejector Sw
Closed (default) - swap ejection handle is closed, Open – swap ejection handle
is open and UC can be swapped
DVB N
Perform average of DVB center frequency after N samples
DVB
Locked – DVB signal locked, Unlocked – DVB signal unlocked
DVB Bandwidth
UC DVB symbol rate
PLL
Locked – Phase Lock Loop Locked, Unlocked – Phase Lock Loop Unlocked
Poll Rate
The number of seconds between M&C status poll to the UC
Resp. Timeout
The number of seonds M&C waits for status poll response from the UC before
declaring that poll attempt failed. After 10 consecutive poll attempt failures
the M&C reboots itself and the chassis.

Semaphore
Errors
M&C errors in obtaining the synchronization semaphore while trying to send
messages to the UC
