5.7.3 Installation 

Refer to the ArcLight Hub Installation Guide for installation and 

operating specifications information. The Support Server runs the 
applications described in sections 4.1, 4.4, and 4.5, e.g. OpManager, 
IsItUp, and APR Server. Please refer to those sections for installation 

details of those applications. 

A spare Support Server can be provided in the ArcLight network 

configuration. Currently, only a cold spare Support Server is supported. 
In such configuration the spare Support Server is configured with same 
IP addresses as the primary Support Server. 

5.7.4 Configuration 

The Support Server requires very little configuration and comes pre-
installed with the Windows 2000 OS. The only configuration required is 
at the installation time to configure its Ethernet interfaces’ IP 

addresses. The Windows 2000 Network Configuration facilities are used 
to configure the IP addresses. 

5.7.5 Operation 

The Support Server does not have any special operational procedures, 
except for the procedures specific to the applications it is running. 
Those are described in sections 4.1, 4.4, and 4.5, e.g. OpManager, 

IsItUp, and APR Server. 

5.7.6 Monitoring 

The Support Server requires no monitoring, except for its application 
described in sections 4.1, 4.4, and 4.5, e.g. OpManager, IsItUp, and 

APR Server. 

5.7.7 Troubleshooting 

Refer to the 

ArcLight Hub Troubleshooting Guide

 for specific Support 

Server troubleshooting instructions.
