User Configuration Screen – General Tab:
For a new user, the User Manager screen would be completed by the
Root or Admin user. The fields on the
User Configuration: General tab
screen are:
User Name – This field is to specify the user name for logging on to the
ArcLight system. The name entered here will appear in the User
Manager display panel list.
Full Name – This field is for the full name of the user.
Description – This field is to describe the access level of the user. As an
example, a customer’s access, in a multiple network system, could be
limited to the customer’s network.
Password – an initial password is assigned by the Root or Admin user
for the initial logon by the user. This may be changed by the user.
Confirm Password – This field is used as a crosscheck to verify the
password. The entry made in the Password field should be repeated
here.
Authority Level – This combo box is used to assign the authority level
of the user. Additional Authority Levels may be created, but the
standard choices are:
Root – The Root user is the highest authority level. Full system
control is granted.
Admin – The Admin user is very close to the Root user but
cannot grant or change their own access.
