3.3.16.2.3 User Manager
User Manager – these screens allow permissions to be defined for
Authority Levels so that Users can be subsequently assigned to
Authority Levels as a means of controlling access to the ArcLight
management system.
The User Manager is the starting point for granting access and
read/write permissions to users of the ArcLight system. Provisions are
also made to permit a root user to bump (or Boot…) other users off the
system so the root user can conduct special maintenance or restoration
procedures.
In the ArcLight System, permissions are granted to Authority Levels,
and Users are then assigned to an appropriate Authority Level. The
user may be prohibited from taking actions or viewing certain screens if
the permissions assigned to their authority level are not at a high
enough level. Permissions are not directly assigned to Users.
The screens described in the following sections are used to create new,
or delete old Authority Levels; and add, modify, or delete user
membership in Authority Levels.

New : Click the New button to activate a new user.
Edit : Click on the Edit button to modify an existing user’s profile.
Delete : Click on the Delete button to remove a user from the user data
base.
