The heated oxygen sensor is installed to the muffler chamber.

HO2 SENSOR REMOVAL AND 
INSTALLATION 

• Remove the left and right fuel tank covers. (

• Remove the reservoir tank mounting bolt

 and radiator

mounting bolts

• Remove the clamps

 and disconnect the HO2 sensor cou-

pler

• Remove the HO2 sensor

.

Do not remove the HO2 sensor while it is hot.

* Be careful not to expose the HO2 sensor to exces-

sive shock.

* Do not use an impact wrench when removing or

installing the HO2 sensor.

* Be careful not to twist or damage the sensor lead

wires.
