SECTION 2 | SERVICING THE HIGH LIFT TRUCK
This section includes troubleshooting information for the Stinar installed
systems of the Model DPT-512 Disabled Passenger Transporter. For
troubleshooting chassis-cab problems, refer to the truck manufacturer’s
documentation.
The troubleshooting information that follows provides trouble analysis
for possible malfunctions. Included are possible problems, probable
causes, and suggested remedies for problems that may occur. Refer to
the Hydraulic System Schematic (Figure 2.2.1) or the Electrical System
Schematic (Figure 2.2.2).
Since the lift and stabilizer functions are electrically controlled and
hydraulically actuated, both the electrical and the hydraulic systems may
require checking to pinpoint a specific problem. The troubleshooting data
provided for the electrical control system presupposes that common
circuitry continuity checks will be made and that no open leads or loose
connections exist. The electrical box should be checked for proper
grounding and to see that there is power to the circuit breakers.
Structural components and assemblies have been included in the
Troubleshooting section because any failure or distortion of their
components could cause a malfunction in the system. Personnel should
always inspect the structural components for security of attachment, etc.,
and the component members of the structure itself for failure and/or
distortion. Look for foreign objects that could jam or cause binding of the
moving parts and cause their malfunction.
