SECTION 1 | GENERAL INFORMATION & OPERATING PROCEDURES
1.
Position unit next to aircraft to be serviced. Vehicle cannot be
driven with the van body raised.
2. Place transmission in park and set parking brake. Leave engine
running.
3. Turn the PTO on.
4.
Extend stabilizer legs as described previously.
5. Raise van body by placing one of the body control switches in the
up position and holding until the van body reaches the desired
height.
To lower the van body, proceed as follows:
1. Lower the van body by placing one of the body control switches
in the down position and holding until the van body reaches the
desired height.
1.2.3.5 | Operating Over-Cab Platform
The over-cab platform ramp has an electrically operated forward extension
platform.

To move extension platform toward aircraft, place and hold the
ramp out/in switch in the out position.
2.
To move extension platform away from aircraft, place and hold the
ramp out/in switch in the in position.
1.2.3.6 | Operating Rear Lift Gate
The rear lift gate has an electro-hydraulic actuator powered by the truck’s
electrical system. The primary operating controls for the lift gate are
pendant mounted up/down toggle switch located on the right side of the
lift gate. To operate the lift gate, proceed as follows:
1. Using the up/down toggle switch, move the platform up so that it is
completely out of the travel locks.
2. Using the open/close toggle switch, hold the switch to “open” and
“up” at the same time.
3. This will open the lift gate.
4. To lower the lift gate, hold lift gate up/down control switch in down
position.
5. To raise the lift gate, hold lift gate up/down control switch in up
position.
6. After use, pivot the lift gate upward by holding“close” and “up”
toggles at the same time into its vertical storage position
7. After the lift gate has been folded up into the vertical position,
lower the gate into the travel locks by holding the up/down toggle
switch in the down position.

CAUTION!
The van body must be fully
lowered before operating the
power lift gate. Do not travel
with the lift gate in any position
but the stowed position.
NOTE:
In order to raise or lower
the van body using either of
these control switches, the
engine must be running, the
transmission must be in park,
the parking brake must be
engaged, the hydraulic pump
must be running, and the
stabilizers must be lowered.
If the stabilizers are not
lowered, the van body cannot
be raised.
NOTE:
To prevent discharging the truck
batteries, start truck engine
before operating lift gate.
WARNING!
Stay clear of the lift and van
body when lowering.
WARNING!
Stay clear of rear lift gate when
raising or lowering it!
Obey all Warning and Caution
decals. Always operate lift gate
in accordance with instructions
listed in lift gate Owner’s
manuals.
