SECTION 1 | GENERAL INFORMATION & OPERATING PROCEDURES
1. LIFT the gate.
1. Valve #1 CLOSED (LEFT).
2. Valve #2 OPEN (RIGHT).
3. Valve #4 CENTERED.
4. Pump hand pump until desired height. CLOSE valve #2 (LEFT).
2. OPEN valve #1 (RIGHT).
3. CLOSE valves #3 & #3 (LEFT)
4. Push valve #4 INWARD.
5. Pump hand pump.
6. Return valve #4 to CENTER.
4. To OPEN the gate:
1. Valve #1 is OPEN (RIGHT).
2. Valves #3 & #3 are CLOSED (RIGHT)
3. Pull valve #4 OUTWARD.
4. Pump hand pump.
5. Return valve #4 to CENTER.
1.2.4 | Transporting Passengers
1. Start truck engine and leave engine running. Place transmission in
park. Set parking brake.
2.
If conditions require, turn on the front and rear platform floodlights
and adjust them as necessary for good visibility.
3. If heating van body is required, start generator set. Switch on
heater as needed.
4. Unfold rear lift gate platform to a horizontal position. See previous
instructions.
5. Lower rear lift gate to ground level.
6. Load passengers and equipment onto lift gate. Hold wheelchairs or
gurneys in place.
7. Place guard rails in position.
8. Raise lift gate up to van body level.
9. Transfer passengers and equipment into van body. Wheelchairs and
gurneys may be secured in place inside the van body.
10. Raise and stow rear lift gate before driving vehicle.
11. Position vehicle near aircraft. Observe facility regulations and
company procedures for approaching and parking near aircraft.
12. Leave engine running. Place transmission in park. Set parking brake.
