1.2.5 | Emergency Operating Procedures
1.2.5.1 | Emergency Shutdown Procedure
In case of emergency, the unit may be shut down by using the stop switch
on the van body control station (Figure 1.2.1.3).
To operate system stop switch:
1. Engage switch by pressing in on switch.
2. After use, reset the switch.
When engaged, the stop switch shuts off the truck engine and, therefore,
the hydraulic pump. Power remains available to the lights. Before the truck
engine can be restarted, the system stop switch must be reset.
1.2.5.2 | Emergency Van Body Lowering Procedure
This procedure is intended for lowering the van body when electrical
power is not available.
1. Locate emergency lowering lever. Lift lever up (outward). This will
release manual overrides on lift cylinder lock valves.
2. Locate emergency body down override lever on the hydraulic directional
control valve. Hold in release lever until body is fully lowered.
3. When the body is fully lowered, release lever to reset the
emergency body down override on the hydraulic directional valve.
Move emergency lowering lever back into its normal position.
WARNING!
Make certain that all personnel
and objects are clear of body
and scissors before lowering.
