1.2.1.5 | Generator Set Operating Controls
The controls for the generator set are located on the generator set unit,
below the van body on the right side of the truck.
1.2.1.6 | Mini Split Unit Operating Controls
The mini split unit for the van body functions only when the generator
set is running. Operating controls for the heating unit are located on the
heating unit.
1.2.1.7 | Emergency Operating Controls (See Figure 1.2.1.7)
This unit is equipped with a number of emergency operating controls.
These controls are described briefly below. See Emergency Operating
Procedures at the end of this section for emergency operating procedures.
1.2.1.7.1 | Body Emergency Lowering Lever
An emergency release handle for the lift cylinder lock valves is located
between the cab and the left front stabilizer. This handle is used, along
with a manual override on the hydraulic directional valve body down
solenoid, to lower the van body when electrical power is not available.
1.2.1.7.2 | Hydraulic Hand Pump
The hand pump is located inside the hydraulic box. It provides emergency
power if both the primary hydraulic pump and the power pack are inoperable.
1.2.1.7.3 | Hydraulic Control Valve Solenoid Release Overrides
The electrically powered hydraulic directional control valve for the lift
and stabilizers is equipped with manual release overrides for use when
electrical power is not available. See Emergency Operating Procedures at
the end of this section for a functional description of these overrides.
NOTE:
The generator set can be
operated whether or not the
truck engine is running.
