COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
Beacon
A flashing amber beacon is located on top
of the van body. The beacon is controlled by
a beacon control switch in the. A beacon on
indicator in the cab lights when the beacon is
switched on.
Clearance Lights
Amber and red clearance lights on top of
the van body are controlled by the truck
lights control switch on the dashboard. They
function through relay K8.
Front Ramp Work Lights
Two platform work lights are mounted on the
front edge of the van roof to illuminate the
platform during night operations. They are
controlled by the ramp lights on/off switch in
the van body front control station.
Rear Platform Work
Lights
Two work lights are mounted on the rear edge
of the van roof to illuminate the rear platform
and stairs during night operations. These
lights are controlled by the toggle switches in
the van body and in the cab.
Interior Lights
Four LED lights illuminate the inside of the
van. They are controlled by the van lights
control switch in the cab or by the body lights
control switch in the van body.
Roof Vent and Fan
The 12-volt DC motor for the roof vent fan is
controlled by a switch on the vent and fan
assembly.
Platform Ramp
Extension
The front part of the platform can be
extended and retracted by an electrical
actuator under the platform floor. This
actuator is controlled by the ramp extend/
retract control switch in the van body front
control station.
Mini Split Unit
The air heating unit for the van body is a 240-
volt AC unit which functions only when the
generator set is running. It is mounted in the
van body.
