SECTION 2 | SERVICING THE HIGH LIFT TRUCK
2.3.4 | Hydraulic Pressure Switch
Adjustment
The hydraulic pressure switch permits the lift to be raised only when the
stabilizers are down and pressurized. The pressure switch is located on the
right front stabilizer. Adjust as follows:
1. Insert a pressure gauge into the system anywhere between the
control valve and the stabilizer cylinder.
2. Connect an ohmmeter across the N.C. and common terminals.
3. Remove the pressure switch cover.
4. Lower and pressurize the stabilizer cylinders to 1000 psi (70 bar).
This is the switch tripping pressure.
5. Turn the adjusting screw until the ohmmeter shows the switch
closes at 1000 psi (70 bar). The ohmmeter reading will be zero (or
close to zero) when the switch closes.
